Customised Council Information Architecture

Utilising our extensive experience with Queensland and local government, we are in a position to offer councils an affordable, leading practice information architecture (IA) solution that we will customise to your council so that it can be readily implemented.

The Customised Council IA is based on our previous experience with developing and evaluating information architectures for several city and regional councils and reflects the common themes that run through all Council websites.

Deliverables

The leading practice usable IA contains:

  • a customised council menu structure (IA) to 2 levels
  • a report outlining the proposed IA menu structure and the results of any optional validation activities.

Additional information architecture services

We can further enhance the customised IA with additional services designed to further refine the usability of the IA. These services include:

Option 1: Usability testing to validate the region specific council menu

  • usability testing in your location with your users
  • uses common scenarios
  • we further customise the menu to meet your user's specific needs.

Option 2: Online survey to validate the region specific council menu

  • validate the top level of your site using a remote survey tool and common tasks
  • we refine the IA using the results to give you further confidence.
