Getting more bang for your buck – getting greater return for your investment in the online channel - Presenter: David Humphreys

Whether you are a private company selling goods or a government agency delivering services, the online channel can be a much more cost effective way to service your customers. But when users have difficulty, they invariably get frustrated and either switch to more expensive channels or go to one of your competitors. What David will show you, will also allow you to demonstrate ROI strategies for this cutting edge technology to your management.

David will present some case studies from clients such as Brisbane City Council, iiNet, Australian Catholic University and a large financial institution and discuss how a relatively small investment in the online channel can reap huge rewards.

Increasing form completion and conversion rates – learnings from the financial services industry - Presenter: Lyndall Plumb

In tough times it is critical that businesses do everything they can to convert every possible lead into a sale. Yet many of our clients lose sales as users commence an online application process for a product or service then abort part way through the process. We typically see low completion rates for forms, especially those with several pages, which lose a percentage of users at each step.

Lyndall will share some common successes and mistakes in forms design that we have observed in usability test sessions with clients such as Suncorp, Budget Direct, RACQ and Mondial. She will discuss some of the ways we have improved the designs of forms and how that has affected form completion and conversion rates. This session is for anyone who is involved in the design of forms or web applications or who wants to see how they can increase form completion rates to improve their bottom line.

How to use a new analytics tool to be a fly on your customer’s wall – Presenter: Tania Lang

Whilst there is a range of excellent low or free cost analytics tools out there, they have their limitations. Traditional analytics tend to measure what users do in between pages (while going from one page to another). For instance, if you have multiple links on a page to the same target page, you cannot tell which of these links is being used and there is a lot of guesswork.

We believe this is the latest and greatest analytic tool that will sweep around the world due it’s proven success – be one of the first to hear about this amazing technology.
