Tania Lang - Principal
User Centred Designer, Usability Specialist & Trainer
Tania Lang is the principal of Peak Usability as well as a member of the Usability Professionals' Association, Web Industry Professionals Association and the Queensland State Representative for CHISIG in Australia. She is considered one of the leaders in her field and is passionate about usability. She has organised numerous local usability and HCI events to increase awareness and adoption of good usability and user centred design practices.
Tania has been working in the online space for over 8 years and as a usability practitioner and consultant for a number of high profile clients for over 6 years. In that time she has worked on online projects for Telstra, Commonwealth Bank, Westpac, Suncorp, and numerous Commonwealth, state and local government agencies.
Tania also has extensive experience conducting intranet usability reviews for Queensland Government including Queensland Department of Emergency Services, Treasury and Queensland Department of Housing.
She has a Masters of Business by Research which involved researching how travel consumers use the Internet. She also has a Graduate Certificate in Human Factors, a Graduate Diploma in Arts (including Marketing) and a Bachelor of Science.

David Humphreys - Senior Consultant
Usability Specialist
David Humphreys has broad range of experience working in Government as a usability specialist and a business analyst. He was lead designer and information architect on a number of critical projects including the development of a new staff directory, the redevelopment of the Department of Primary Industries and Fisheries intranet site and a number of smaller projects and sites. He has used a number of user centred design tools and techniques including contextual analysis, stakeholder interviews, workshops and usability testing.
His interest and passion for usability led him to create and coordinate a Usability Special Interest Group in the Department of Primary Industries and Fisheries. David has managed several projects and is PRINCE2 Practitioner Certified.
David has conducted usability testing and reviews of a number of websites and intranets including Brisbane City Council, ourbrisbane.com, Queensland Transport and Queensland Department of Emergency Services.
David has a Bachelor of Arts – Humanities and has attended numerous User Centred Design and professional training courses in the last three years.
Lyndall Plumb - Senior Consultant
Usability specialist
Lyndall is a highly experienced and enthusiastic usability professional who consistently delivers results in a variety of industries, by ensuring that customer experience is at the forefront of the design process. She has a strong understanding of brand management and company positioning on the internet.
Specific skills include user and business research, interaction design, usability reviews, project and budget management, technical expertise in a number of web technologies, as well as a high level of communication and presentation skills.
Lyndall has extensive experience working as a usability and online specialist for the private sector including 18 months at Energex, where she was also responsible for the development and implementation of Energex’s communication strategy for the internet.
More recently, Lyndall has been working for Suncorp as their senior user centred designer for over 3 years and has extensive experience working with business stakeholders and helping them achieve their business objectives.
She has a Bachelor of Business (Man), a Bachelor of Science (Computer Science) Parallel Degrees and a Graduate Certificate of Applied Law.

Scott Esdaile - Business Development and Account Manager
Scott is a highly creative marketing and sales professional – having worked with a mix of private and public-sector organisations to develop and implement their online strategies. He has a Masters of Business in Integrated Marketing Communications, and a Bachelor of Creative Industries in Communication Design, and is passionate about digital advertising.
Specific skills include integrated and digital marketing, online strategy, interaction design, client service, strategic business analysis and funk. Yes, that’s right…1970’s vintage funk.
Combining technical understanding with excellent communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills, Scott enjoys devising creative and innovative solutions to clients' needs. He is highly skilled at integrating online marketing with offline activities and understands the critical importance of measuring ROI and effectiveness.
Scott is also experienced in content development, editorial and copywriting, graphic design, project management, and web development – having managed his fair share of websites over time, and if pressed can even develop the odd interactive flash game (just don’t ask for detailed ActionScript as he’s forgotten most of it).
As Peak’s self-proclaimed creative director and musician-in-residence, Scott regularly daydreams about furthering his jazz saxophone studies in New York and is always up for in-depth discussions about the all-time greatest jazz albums recorded on the Blue Note label.
Drew Foster - Consultant
Interaction Designer, Multimedia Developer & Visual designer
Drew Foster is an interaction and multimedia designer. What that means is that he has a lot of skills in designing for people. By studying peoples expectations, though process, and behaviours you can create imaginative and intuitive designs in nearly all forms of media.
Drew believes the best products come from an iterative, test early test often, collaborative environment involving all creative disciplines and users. Drew loves interaction design because it is not often done well and he loves multimedia design because making great products is always challenging and fun. In general, he’s just trying to make the web a better place.
Drew has conducted usability testing and reviews of a number of websites and intranets including Brisbane City Council, ourbrisbane.com, Cairns City Council, Queensland Transport, RACQ, Bond University, and the Australian Catholic University. He has also conducted user research, requirements and design for Queensland Museum internet site and Department of Communities Intranet site.
Drew has a Bachelor of Multimedia Design and a Bachelor of Information Technology (majoring in Interaction Design). He loves snowboarding but not in Brisbane.
