Peak Usability is Brisbane's leading web usability and user experience consultancy. Established in 2003, we work with large organisations and government to help them achieve their business goals by facilitating the development of highly usable and effective internet and intranet sites, web applications and products.

We are always on the look out for multi-skilled, passionate, motivated professionals who have demonstrated interaction design and UX skills and experience.

Our business is small, but we are growing and are always keen to talk to skilled usability professionals keen to work with us.

Skills and experience we value:

• Ability to lead sessions with users and business stakeholders including facilitating collaborative design workshops, card sorting, conducting interviews, and contextual enquiries.
• Information architecture skills and experience.
• Interaction design skills including the ability to apply accepted interaction design principles to create wireframes and mockups, preferably including high fidelity mockups incorporating client style guides/branding.
• Ability to undertake usability testing, including planning and facilitating test sessions and developing recommendations.
• Exceptional report writing skills.
• Technology skills - Proficiency with UX design/prototyping tools such as Visio, Photoshop, Illustrator, Axure and Optimal Workshop suite of tools.
• Project management skills –ability to manage and balance clients, project activities and your time, sometimes across several projects at one time.
• Professional - good presentation skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Relevant academic qualifications e.g. interaction design, HCI or psychology qualifications or evidence of professional development activities.
• At least 2 years experience in field of interaction design/UX design, preferably as a contractor or consultant.
• Must have a permit to work in Australia.
• Be prepared to travel interstate or intrastate on occasions.

Remuneration is negotiable but will be commensurate with experience and also includes performance based incentives.
